The Dual Players Series BzzzzKill for the P-90 pickup is purpose-built for a p-90 equipped guitars with a reverse-wound, reverse-polarity (RWRP) neck pickup. In these guitars, you get hum cancelling when your pickup selector switch is in the middle position.
The Dual BzzzzKill completes that system.
It eliminates the remaining single-coil hum in the bridge-only and neck-only positions, delivering consistent noise reduction across all volume control positions while preserving the unmistakable signature sound of your P-90.

How does the Dual Layer model differ from the SingleLayer?
Both models virtually eliminate hum and preserve your tone—the difference is which pickup configuration your P-90 guitar has.
If your P-90 guitar buzzes in ALL positions of your pickup selector switch, choose the Single Layer. If the center position of your pickup selector switch creates no buzz, choose the Dual Layer.
Simply test your guitar in all three pickup selector switch positions—the buzzing pattern tells you exactly which model you need.
Will this work with aftermarket pickups?
Yes, as long as your guitar has a single coil P-90 pickup configuration. If you're unsure, perform the simple test above or contact us.
How difficult is installation?
Installation requires soldering skills and comfort working with electronics. If you own a soldering iron and have experience with these tasks, you can install it yourself following our detailed instructions. However, we don't recommend learning to solder on your valuable instrument. For most players, we recommend having a qualified luthier or guitar tech handle the installation, which is a quick and simple task for a professional.
Is installation any different than the Single Layer model?
The installation process is similar but not identical due to the different configuration needed for reverse-wound pickups. We provide specific instructions for Dual Layer installation in our guide.
Is this a permanent modification?
No. BzzzzKill installs without any permanent modifications to your guitar. It can be removed at any time, leaving your instrument in its original condition.
