WHICH MODEL IS RIGHT?

For P-90

For Jazz Bass

For Telecasters

For Stratocasters

Easy Test to Determine Your P-90 Model:

First determine which family of BzzzzKills yourgoing to use.

  • P-90 BzzzzKill for pickups wound with 42 gauge wire. Single and Dual.
  • P-90X BzzzzKill for pickups wound with 43 gauge wire. Single and Dual.

Simply match the P-90 pickup gauge wire to the BzzzzKill gauge wire.

  • Most vintage / standard P-90 pickups will be wound with 42 gauge wire.
  • Modern hotter P-90 pickups will be wound with 43 gauge wire.

If your P-90 is quiet in pickup selector switch position 2 but buzzes in positions 1 and 3

your guitar has a reverse-wound neck pickup andyou need the Dual BzzzzKill for P-90.

If your P-90 buzzes in all three pickup selectorpositions

The Single BzzzzKill for P-90 is your solution.

Easy Test to Determine Your Jazz Bass Model:

If your Jazz Bass is quiet with both volume controls wide open

your guitar has a reverse-wound pickup and you need the Dual BzzzzKill for Jazz Bass.

If your Jazz Bass buzzes in all volume positions including wide open

the Single BzzzzKill for Jazz Bass is your solution.

Easy Test to Determine Your Telecaster Model:

If your Telecaster is quiet in position 2 but buzzes in positions 1 and 3

your guitar has a reverse-wound neck pickup and you need the Dual BzzzzKill for Telecasters.

If your Telecaster buzzes in all three selector positions

the Single BzzzzKill for Telecasters is your solution.

Easy Test to Determine Your Stratocaster Model:

If positions 2 & 4 are quiet while positions 1, 3, and 5 buzz on your 5-way Pickup selector switch,

the Dual Layer BzzzzKill is right for you. This is the case for the majority of Fender Stratocasters® manufactured in recent years, which come standard with a reverse-wound middle pickup.

The Dual Layer BzzzzKill is available in Custom Series and Players Series models. See below for a comparison chart.

If you hear buzz in ALL positions on your 5-way pickup selector switch,

the Single Layer BzzzzKill is right for you.

The Single Layer BzzzzKill is available in Custom Series and Players Series models. See below for a comparison chart.

If you have a HSS Strat

If your Strat has the same amount of buzz in positions 3,4,5 of your selector switch you need a Single Layer BzzzzKill.

If your Strat has less buzz in position 4 than in position 3 and 5 you need a Dual Layer BzzzzKill.

Note: The BzzzzKill will not fit with a dual wafer 5 way selector switch.
